This is one of my favorite masala omelette, easy to make and perfect for a light and nutritious breakfast.
Servings: 1 | Prep Time: 5 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes
1/2 onion, finely chopped;
pinch of turmeric powder;
1/2 tomato or 2-3 cherry tomatoes, diced;
1/2 green chilli;
1/2 tsp coriander powder;
pinch of red chilli powder or as per taste;
1/2 tsp cumin powder;
1/2 tsp garam masala;
handful of coriander leaves;
salt to taste;
2 tbsp oil;
1/2 green/red/yellow pepper, chopped (optional).
Prepare the ingredients: chop the onion, coriander leaves, tomato, green chili and, optionally, green/yellow/red pepper. In a bowl beat the eggs with salt and coriander leaves and set aside.
Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. When the oil is hot, add chopped onion, green chili, tomato and green/red/yellow pepper. Stir and let it fry until soft. Now add the spices, stir and fry for one minute.
Reduce the flame to low and pour the egg mixture. You can add some oil drops on the edges of the omelette and cover the pan. Let it cook for about one minute then slowly flip over and cook the other side.
And there’s an indian masala omelette, delicious, spicy and so easy to make. You can serve it hot with bread toast and sweet chili sauce or tomato ketchup.
