My girl turned three and I’m featured in The Wall Street Journal!

What a fabulous week it’s been!
My baby girl turned three this week. It feels like just yesterday we brought her home from the hospital. Three years of maximum happiness with her, she made my life more beautiful than I could ever imagine.

Happy birthday to the most gorgeous girl in the world, I am so thankful for each and every moment we have together! And happy birth day to me.

Her birthday was on Monday, and we celebrated it a weekend prior. We kept it simple: few friends and family joined us and we surprised her with balloons, games, lots of cuddles and wishes, presents; and of course cake!

On Monday, she went to nursery school where her birthday has been celebrated in a special way (my husband and I were invited to attend) – the teacher had lighten a candle, explained that the candle represents the sun, and she gave a globe to my daughter to hold. Then my daughter started to walk around the candle (sun) three times, each time stopping and interacting with other kids. At the end, we all sang a special birthday song and she has been invited to blow out the candle. She was absolutely surprised and thrilled.

The party continued in the afternoon with some dear friends and their son, almost the same age as my daughter. In the evening, my sister sent a lovely happy birthday wishes video from Romania that completely melted me and greatly finished our special day. Since that day, the video is on repeat, as my daughter can’t have enough of it.

The same day on Monday, I had another lovely moment. The Wall Street Journal’s expat blog site added its list of 14 Expat Food Blogs to Read Right Now, and I have been featured in it! What a big honor to be included in this great article, alongside other talented expat food bloggers around the world.

Thank you very much for featuring me, Debra Bruno and The Wall Street Journal. It is a very great honor!!

I also want to thank all of you who sent beautiful birthday wishes for my daughter and shared The Wall Street Journal’s article. I have received so many messages and calls all week and I can’t thank you all enough.
