Palak Paratha Recipe – How to make Spinach Paratha

I enjoy making paratha and I have tried different vegetables to stuff it, I must say that I like them all.

Palak Paratha is quite healthy (spinach is an important source of Vitamin B, iron, calcium, and Vitamin C) and goes well with chutneys, raita or yogurt…or with just a cup of tea.

This is the first paratha recipe I post, I hope you like it. There are more paratha recipes to come, so stay close! 🙂

Step by step Palak Paratha Recipe:

Wash the spinach leaves properly, and chop it finely.
Into a deep pan, bring water with salt to boil, add chopped spinach and steam for 10 minutes. Drain water and keep spinach aside.

In a large bowl, mix wheat with spinach, ginger garlic paste, green chilli, salt, oil, coriander leaves and water. Make a smooth dough. Cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes.

After 30 mins, take some dough into your palms and shape it into a ball. Sprinkle some flour and start making paratha using a rolling pin.

Take a frying iron skillet or a pan and heat it well on high flame. Add paratha and splutter some ghee on top of it. Fry on both sides adding a bit of ghee. Fry until golden spots appear.
