Servings: 2 | Prep Time: 35 minutes | Cook Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

masala fried pomfret ingredients

4-5 pomfret fish;
Ingredients for masala:
1 tbsp ginger garlic paste;
1/2 tsp red chilli powder;
1 tsp cumin powder;
1/4 tsp turmeric powder;
1 tsp garam masala;
1 1/2 tsp coriander powder;
1 tbsp lemon juice;
2 tbsp besan or rice flour (optional);
1 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped;
salt;
oil to fry.

Method Steps:

Wash well fish pieces in water and make incisions on the fish. Drain well the water.

Mix all the masala ingredients and make a paste. Adding flour (besan flour, rice or whole wheat flour) helps to stick the masala to the fish while frying, and also gives a very nice crispy taste.

Apply the masala paste all over the fish and keep aside for 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan, and when it gets very hot, add fish pieces to fry. Fry on medium flame until the bottom turns crisp and light brown.

Now turn on the other side and cook until it turns crisp.

Remove from the pan, drain it in paper towel and serve this delicious masala fried pomfret. Enjoy!
